The company revealed its brand name as Mahindra Jeeto then, and has now announced that it will be launched on 24th June, 2015. Mr. Pravin Shah, President & Chief Executive (Automotive), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. will be present during the launch event which will take place in Mumbai.
Upcoming Mahindra Jeeto LCV will be powered a brand new m_Dura engine.
The new Small Commercial Vehicle (SCV) built on an all-new platform, will mark the debut of a new generation engine, branded m_Dura. This is revealed to be equipped with direct injection system, tuned for refined performance and mileage.
Mahindra Jeeto is expected to have a payload capacity of 600-700 kg. Aside from the above, no technical specifications of Mahindra Jeeto have been revealed. Expect features such as dashboard-mounted gear-rod, a 12V power socket (for charging phones) and a provision for music system.

Mahindra has been making tractors, Bolero Maxxi Truck, Tourister and three wheelers at this Zaheerabad unit, which is the only automobile manufacturing facility in the entire state.The firm has invested INR 250 crore to extend the Telangana plant. The extended facility has an annual production capacity of 92,000 units which can be scaled up further as per demand. This capacity is in addition to the already installed production capacity of 75,000 units per year.
Speaking on the occasion, Pravin Shah, President & Chief Executive, Automotive, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, said:
We will work towards manufacturing some of the best commercial vehicles from our Zaheerabad plant and help generate employment in and around the plant either directly or indirectly through our suppliers and other business partners.
Mahindra had announced that its Tata Ace Zipcompetitor will be launched in the first half of this financial year.
He also added that the facility will build more commercial vehicles in due course and generate additional direct and indirect job opportunities in and around the region. Already 6 suppliers have started construction of their units in the vendor park with an investment of around INR 100 cr and more activity can be seen in the future.
With the latest investment, Mahindra’s Telangana factory has received INR 1,100 cr investment till date and has generated 3,500 total employment between and tractor and auto manufacturing divisions.
