From previous spy shots, we can see that as predicted, the car borrows design cues from the Vision Gran Turismo that was shown at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The side profile of the car looks similar to the Veyron. However, the rear is new and gives the Chiron a unique look. It gets a new rear diffuser and new exhaust pipes. The front gets headlights that are similar to the concept shown. The grille of the car has a traditional Bugatti design.

The Chiron will be powered by the same engine that is present on the Veyron. It is powered by an 8.0-litre W16 engine with four turbochargers. The turbochargers are expected to be electric driven and boost pressure will be increased. The power output is expected to rise to around 1500 bhp and 1500 Nm of torque. It will be mated to a DSG dual clutch automatic transmission and power will be sent to all four wheels. This will help the Chiron accelerate from a standstill to a 100 kmph in 2.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 467 kmph. This will help Bugatti retain the “World’s Fastest Car” title. Bugatti has also promised to make it more track friendly than the Veyron. The car will have 15 radiators (the Veyron had only 10).

The Chiron will cost more than $2.5 million and 500 units will be built. It is unknown if the number also includes the Grand Sport convertible. Bugatti had a private preview of the next generation hypercar at the company’s Molsheim headquarters. Many of the customers have already booked the car.
