Bentley Continental GT Black Speed revealed

Bentley exudes class in heaps, but what if it got classist with menacing looks? The Bentley Continental GT Black Speed, to me, looks every bit like a mean looking ‘Sumo’ wrestler.  Bentley has used this week’s Australian Grand Prix to launch the 10 model limited edition called the Bentley Continental GT Black Speed.

Speaking about the newest special edition, Bentley’s Asia-Pacific Sales Manager, David Simpson, described it as “probably the most aggressive car that we’ve made.” He went on to specify the limited-run model came to life as a response from customer feedback as many from the Land Down Under have asked Bentley for a more aggressive Continental GT Speed.

The model has been created solely for the Australia and New Zealand market. The Black Speed is priced from $525,000 AUD and few ‘basic’ upgrades like carbon ceramic brakes , the price will zoom to $600,000 AUD.

“There is a big difference between fashionable and stylish,” continuing with: “Fashionable is bodykits, getting a spoiler put on your car aftermarket, fashionable is to say that it’s a trend or a fad”, Bentley’s Asia-Pacific Sales Manager, David Simpson, said. “Stylish is something that is unique and it lives within someone and style is timeless. It’s probably the most aggressive car that we’ve made.”

On the outside, it gets side skirts in red along with pin striping to highlight its curves. The rear diffuser,  front grill are finished with red accents and headlights and taillights have been tinted to make it look aggressive. The Bentley rides on massive 21-inch wheels which is a first for the British car maker.

On the interior, the expensive Breitling clock is the centrepiece in red and black going with the whole theme. It’s got embroidered seats and door trims,  hand-stitched steering wheel soft leather and Black Speed badging.

Under the hood of 2016 Bentley Continental GT sits a impressive 6.0-litre twin turbo W12 powertrain producing 582 bhp and 720 Nm of power.
