Ford has finally launched the facelift EcoSport , today, at a starting price of Rs.
, today, at a starting price of Rs. 6.79 lakhs Ex-showroom, Delhi. It gets a higher output diesel engine and a new Trend+ variant. Read on to know more.
For starters, the front now features day time running lights built into the headlights along with signature light guides. It also gets automatic headlights and rain sensing wipers as part of the upgrades to the exteriors. The car will feature a new Golden Bronze paint job which sums up the changes to the outsides. The interiors on the other hand get quite a few new features like an electro-chromic rear view mirror, chrome treatment on the inner door handles, cluster ring and cluster applique, window regulator switches and air register tabs. The cabin also features generous amounts of leather, wrapped around the steering wheel, handbrake lever and the seats themselves on the top variants.
The engines are carried over from the previous car which means you get the 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines and the award winning 1.0-litre Ecoboost petrol engine
. The diesel however sees a bump in power output by 10 percent to 100PS while fuel efficiency remains in the same league at 22.27Km/L. All engines are mated to the easy to use 5-speed manual transmission, but the 1.5-litre petrol is the only one here that can be had with a 6-speed dual clutch PowerShift automatic gearbox. The 1.5-litre petrol delivers a fuel efficiency of 15.85Km/L while the range topping 1.0-litre Ecoboost petrol delivers an impressive 18.88Km/L in standard testing conditions.
The Ford EcoSportFacelift also sees the addition of a new Trend+ variant which has been positioned in between the existing Trend and Titanium trims. Only the 1.0-litre Ecoboost petrol can be had in this variant whereas the diesel can be had in all trim levels including the Trend+.
