Skoda has just revealed sketches of their next Vision S concept SUV. The concept car will be showcased at the upcoming 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
Skoda Vision S Concept Front
Skoda has been rumoured for a long time to have been developing a new SUV and the company has finally revealed its plans. The Vision S concept is a design study from the company for an SUV that will positioned a segment higher than the existing Skoda Yeti. This car will take on the likes of the Hyundai Santa Fe, Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner amongst others. Also, it expected to come with wide range of power trains which might even include a plug in hybrid variant alongside the obvious 2.0-litre diesel engine option. The car will be launched in late 2017 or early 2018 and could be powered by a completely new range of engines that the Volkswagen Group is working upon post the Emissions Scandal.
Skoda Vision S Concept Side
The Vision S concept has a length of 4.70 meters, a width of 1.91 meters and a 1.68-meter height. It features three rows of seats, offering a generous amount of room for six passengers. The exterior design of the Skoda Vision S reflects the brand’s new emotional appeal with precise crystalline design elements that accentuate the exterior. The interplay of light and shadow creates powerful effects on the chiseled surfaces while the bonnet relies on the creative use of plastics, with contours flowing towards the brand logo. The wide grille and four tapered, high-set LED headlights characterize the face of the show car.
Skoda Vision S Concept Rear
The side view illustrates the strong SUV character with a sharp tornado line that spans the entire length of the car body. The wheel arches are angular, emphasizing the off-road character. The rear of Skoda’s Vision S concept has been sculpturally designed with a strong diffuser insert that borders the large exhaust pipes. The Skoda logo and shallow rear lights sit just beneath the low rear window. This beautiful yet elegant sketch will be seen in flesh next month at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Stay tuned to ICB for updates on the Vision S concept.
