Hyundai HND 14 Compact SUV Concept Auto Expo 2016
Hyundai has just unveiled its all new sub 4-metre SUV concept called as HND-14 at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. The SUV will make it to production only next year and has been pitted squarely against the Ford Ecosport, Mahindra TUV300 and the newly launched Maruti Vitara Brezza. The car will share engine options with the Hyundai Elite i20 with similar drive train options too. The car could be also offered with a automatic transmission to cater to the rising fondness of Indians with automatic gearboxes. The HND-14 sub 4-metre compact SUV has been designed at the Hyundai Namyang design centre.
Hyundai Tucson Auto Expo 2016
Hyundai also showcased the Tucson SUV which is nothing but a Honda CR-V and Skoda Yeti rival. The car is available with 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options abroad but in India could be offered with only a diesel engine. The car is likely to launch in India later this year and will be imported into India as a CBU. Also on display was the Genesis sedan crash car which aims to showcase the safety that Hyundai’s luxury car brand offers its customers. The car wont be launched in India anytime soon and is like an awareness campaign to showcase the Korean car maker’s luxury division.
Hyundai N 2025 Gran Turismo Concept
Hyundai also showcased its N performance division in the form of the N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo concept. The car looks more like a Le Mans racer and the company had on display its prototype. The N division was recently recently responsible for tweaking the Hyundai Elite i20 in Europe with a all new 1.0-litre turbocharged GDi petrol motor. So expecting such high performance N variants of Hyundai’s road going models wont be a wrong thing in the near future. In fact we would love to have something like this in India.
