We compile a list of 20 production version cars which will make their global debut at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.
Hyundai iONIQ: The global debut will present iONIQ in three variants. The newly-developed platform will available with full electric, plug-in petrol / electric hybrid, or petrol / electric hybrid powertrains. The engine will be 1.6-litre a 1.6-litre Kappa GDi naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 105 PS and 15.0 and 147 Nm of torque and a permanent magnet electric motor that generates 43.5 PS and 170 Nm of torque.
Jaguar F-Type SVR: It is the fastest production car by Jaguar. Anything more needed to say? F-Type SVR is powered by a 5.0-litre V8 engine producing 567 bhp at 6,500 rpm and 700 Nm of torque between 3,500 to 5,000 rpm. It is mated to an 8-speed Quickshift transmission and power is sent to all four wheels. The supercar accelerates from a standstill to a 100 kmph in just 3.7 seconds. It will be available as a coupe as well as roadster. The coupe will reach speeds of 350kmph will the convertible will top out at a shade over 340kmph.
Koenigsegg Regera: The production version of Regera will be seen at Geneva and it will be interesting to see how it looks since the carmaker has said that the company has made over 3000 changes to the concept shown previously. The company plans to build only 80 specimens of the niche car, making it the highest volume modeltill date.

Lamborghini Centenario: Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 will be the fastest production Lamborghini ever with just 20 units to be built to celebrate the birth of founder Ferruccio Lamborghini. It is expected to have a V-12 engine and all-wheel drive system with all the massive power helping it past the 100 kmph mark from a standstill in a mere 2.7 seconds with a top speed of 350 kmph. Reportedly, all the units have been sold even before the launch.

Mercedes C-Class cabriolet: The most economical convertible from Mercedes Benz is expected to be launched at Geneva Motor Show. It is expected to come in a variety of engines for a 1.6-litre petrol mill to a 4.0-litre turbocharged unit in therange topping AMG variant. The 2017 Mercedes Benz C-Class Cabriolet will be up against the BMW 4-series cabriolet and the Audi A5 convertible internationally. The car might come to India later this year or early next year

Pagani Huayra BC: Horacio Pagani is known for his passion for cars and only he could have named a car after his first customer. Benny Caiola is abbreviated as BC. Pagani Huayra BC is the same 6.0 litre Biturbo Mercedes-AMG V12 engine that does duty in the regular Huayra. But now, the power output has now been increased to 790 bhp at 6,200 rpm and more than a 1,000 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. It still uses the 7-speed transmission. On the exterior, except for the roof, all other parts are brand new which has been tuned for maximum aerodynamic efficiency. Although road legal, this car is a track focused like it’s predecessors, the Zonda R and the Zonda Cinque.
Volvo V90: The latest station wagon from the Swedish manufacturer is based on an all-new SPA platform and will be available in hybrid form as well. The T8 Twin Engine petrol plug-in hybrid will deliver around 410BHP and a pure electric range of around 50 kilometres. As usual, V90 will come with cutting-edge safety tech such as Pilot Assist semi-autonomous drive technology, Large Animal Detection and Run-off Road Mitigation etc.
Ssangyong XLV: The Korean carmaker will present the 7-seater variant of its Tivoli called as XLV. Tivoli XLV will carry a 1.6-litre mill producing 124bhp and 157 Nm of torque while the diesel motor makes 113bhp and 300 Nm of torque from a 1.6- litre oil burner. The engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission. It will come with front-wheel drive as standard though a four-wheel-drive system will be optional.

Maserati Levante: The first ever SUV from Maserati will feature a 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine or a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine. The powertrain details have not been made public as of now. It is expected to come equipped with 8-speed transmission and an all wheel drive system.
