This one is not for the common folks!!! Mercedes S600 Guard is the for special people who are presidents, prime ministers and important people from various walks of life. The Mercedes S600 Guard was launched in India today at a price of a whopping 10.5 crore ex-showroom.

Last year’s car was launched with VR9 safety rating while this years updated S600 Guard comes with even better VR10 rating. The 4.7-tonne vehicle, which is the most expensive car from Mercedes portfolio in India, comes with various safety and luxury features at the same time. Mercedes S600 Guard is powered with a 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 engine that is capable of producing a monstrous 523bhp of power and 830Nm of torque. The car can do a 0-100km/h sprint in 7.9sec and on to an electronically limited top speed of 190km/h.

The car can withstand bullets, blasts, rocket-propelled grenades, explosives, fires and even heavy sniper firing. The seating of rear passengers is also changed making them drop back a little from the usual seating position. Polycarbonate coating on the windshield makes it near impossible to penetrate it with various bullets. The car’s underbelly has been armoured to protect occupants from blasts under the body. There is a system which provides the cabin with fresh air system and a fire extinguisher system with automatic activation.  PAX run-flat tyres are used  which are capable of running even when completely flat, for over 30 kilometres at 30km/h. The car features a self-healing fuel tank that can withstand from catching fire in case it gets hit.
