1. Fernando Alonso has been cleared to race at Chinese Gran Prix
The McLaren-Honda driver was barred from racing two weeks ago at the Bahrain GP after failing an FIA medical test .

. The Spaniard has suffered a major high-speed crash at the season opener in Australia, which looked dangerous on camera. Alonso described himself lucky to not have suffered a major injury after literally flying into the crash barricades.
2. Lewis Hamilton faces 5 place grid penalty
A result of unscheduled gearbox change, Mercedes driver and the reigning world champion, Lewis Hamilton will drop five places on the starting grid from the position which he will qualify on Saturday. This means there will be no Mercedes 1-2 at the start of the race and further mount troubles fo Hamilton as he is already 17 points down on his teammate Nico Rosberg who sits on 50 points after winning both the races of the season.

Ferrari has improved a lot and it almost seems this race might be the one where it has the speed and luck on their side. Speed because they have outpaced their Mercedes rivals in Friday Practise 2 with a 1-2 finish with Rosbergand Hamilton following in at 3rd and 4th respectively. Additionally, there will be significantly less competition as Lewis will be facing the 5 place penalty, almost denying him a race victory on paper.

Romain Grosjeanof Haas F1has produced spectacular results for the newest team on the grid bringing home 18 points in 2 races it has competed in. The team will bring new parts to the Chinese Gran Prix and it will be fascinating to see if the team retain its momentum, giving the established midfield teams a run for their money.
