Rolls-Royce Wraith Facelift Spied For The First Time

The facelift version of the Rolls-Royce Wraith has been seen testing for the first time.

Launched at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, the Wraith is a coupe version of the Ghost. The facelift for the Ghost was released at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show and two years later, the Wraith will get the facelift.

The changes will include new LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights, new bumpers and alloy wheels with a new design. On the inside, the Wraith is expected to get new wood veneers and trim options. Mechanically, there will be limited changes. The engine and powertrain will be carried over. The suspension might be taken from the new Dawn convertible that was unveiled at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The Dawn is the convertible version of the Wraith coupe.

The facelifted Wraith was seen testing in Germany and it is expected to be launched at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March. It will go on sale at a later date before the end of the year.

The satellite-guided automatic transmission made its debut on the Wraith

The 4-seat coupe is powered by a twin-turbo V12 engine producing 624 bhp at 5600 rpm and 800 Nm of torque at 1500 rpm. It is mated to a GPS guided ZF 8-speed automatic transmission. It accelerates from a standstill to a 100 kmph in 4.4 seconds and goes on to a top speed of 250 kmph. The car weighs 2.5 tons. It achieves this impressive feat while the keeping the occupants surrounded in luxury and comfort.

In India, the Wraith has been priced at INR 5.28 crores (Ex-showroom, New Delhi). It competes against the Bentley Continental GT Coupe.
