German car maker VW is a name synonymous with build quality and hot hatch-ery here in India. With the launch of immensely successful models such as the Vento sedan, Polo and its sportier GT variants, VW has cemented its place among India’s top car makers. However, internationally, Volkswagen is better known for creating the original people’s car. Dubbed the Beetle, the German car maker’s two door hatchback has withstood the test of time to an extent that is yet to be matched. Although other cars such as the Fiat 500 and Mitsubishi Lancer have been around for quite sometime now, the Beetle remains one of the few cars that has changed little over the course of decades and yet maintains its mass appeal.

As with previous iterations, VW has resolved to change very little in terms of aesthetics of its iconic hatchback. The new Beetle comes with projector headlights accentuated by LED DRLs. VW has made an almost negligible use of chrome save for the ORVMs and chrome line running across the lower bumper. The rear features a pair of slightly revamped taillamps, chrome dual exhaust tips and a dual tone rear spoiler.
