Elon Musk also announced that they would definitely have to rethink their plans for production. Currently, Tesla sells around 50,000 cars every year but with more powerful versions of the Model 3 coming, they could soon be producing a million units of the model. They would also have to grow their Supercharger network.

The Model 3 was launched a few days back and it is the cheapest car on sale by the American company. Starting at USD 35,000 the electric car will accelerate from a standstill to a 100 kmph in less than 6 seconds. The car has a range of 350 kms. Tesla stores around the world are reporting huge crowds and long queues outside the showroom for booking the vehicle. For the first time, Tesla has opened bookings in Indiaas well. The booking amount for the car is USD 1000. The Tesla Model 3 competes with the Audi A4, Jaguar XE, Volvo S60, BMW 3-series and the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
