Though not many, there are a few important MPVs that will be making their debut at the Auto Expo next month. The Toyota Innova is one of the most anticipated cars at the event. Here is the complete list of the MPVs.
Chevrolet
1. Chevrolet Spin
Even though Chevrolet will launch the Spin MPV only in 2017, it will be shown at the Auto Expo. The exterior gets the traditional Chevrolet dual front grille which is now flanked by huge bug-eyed headlamps. The 7-seater will be powered by a Fiat sourced 1.3-litre Multijet diesel producing 74 bhp. It will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The American company could also launch an automatic transmission as demand is going up. It will sit above the Enjoy MPV and will rival the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, Honda Mobilio, Renault Lodgy and the Toyota Innova which is the best selling vehicle in the segment. The delay in the launch could be due to problems in completely localizing the vehicle. The MPV will be manufactured at Chevrolet’s Talegaon plant.

1. Toyota Innova
This must be one of the most important cars to be showcased. The Innova, for long has been the one of the best selling MPVs in the country. The new vehicle gets a completely new redesigned exterior and interior along with a lot of new features and equipment. Powering the MPV is a new 2.0-litre petrol engine and a new 2.4-litre diesel engine. Power output for the petrol is 137 bhp while it is 147 bhp for the diesel. The engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The Innova will make its Indian debut at the Auto Expo but a launch will happen only by the end of the year.
