Bajaj Auto Limited has teased its upcoming new motorcycle in a video in the most patriotic way possible. The Bajaj V as it is called will be unveiled on the 1st February, 2016.
Bajaj has been surrounded by rumours that they might introduce a new range of bikes that will slot between the Discover and Pulsar line up. Well, Bajaj might have just teased their upcoming bike in this new video which points that the bike has been built from the melted remains of INS Vikrant which was decommissioned in 1997 and reduced to scrap in 2014. The aircraft carrier played a major role in the 1971 Indo-Pak war and holds a historic significance in Indian contexts.
The motorcycle teased does not look like a contemporary bike and bears a classic retro design. The jacked up Cafe Racer stance of the bike points out at a brand new lineup from Bajaj that could be pitted against bikes like the Hero Splendor Pro Classic and the Royal Enfield Continental GT. The bike will feature a bikini fairing, rear cowl, multi spoke alloy wheels and a flush mounted tail lamp unit. It will be positioned in between its mentioned rivals and could be priced around Rs. 75,000/-. It will be powered by a range of engines similar to the recently launched Avenger line up which means an entry level 150cc variant and a 200cc variant. Also this bike could be a manufactured in limited numbers as it is made from the melted remains of the iconic aircraft carrier.
The Bajaj V will be revealed on 1st February 2016, until which it is a wait and watch game. All technical specs and variants will be announced on the coming Monday. Enthusiasts like us will have their eyeballs waiting to see this bike as it will be carrying a piece of history with it. Makes it special, doesn’t it?
