Ferrari has launched the 488 GTB in India at a price of Rs. 3.88 Crore ex-showroom, Delhi. The supercar is the successor to the iconic 458 Italia.
Ferrari entered India last year with a hope of a fresh new innings in the country. The Italian supercar maker has now officially launched the 488 GTB in India. The Ferrari 488 GTB is powered by a 3.9-litre turbocharged V8 motor that develops 660BHP and 69.95Kgm, and propels the car to 100Km/hr in just 3 seconds. This makes it more powerful than the outgoing 458 Italia by around 99BHP and the legendary Enzo Ferrari too. This is also the most powerful turbocharged and mid engined Ferrari the company has ever produced. The car is rear wheel driven and is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox which helps it hit a 330Km/hr top speed.
Ferrari 488 GTB Front Three Quarter
The Ferrari 488 GTB will be sold in India via two existing dealerships in Mumbai and Delhi. The range of Ferraris sold in India consist of the California T, 458 Spider, 458 Speciale and F12 Belinetta besides the newly launched 488 GTB. Ferrari entered India in June last year with the California T which is the most affordable Ferrari on sale in India and the range topping F12 Berlinetta.

The Ferrari California T was the first next generation models from the company to have a turbocharged motor under its hood. The engine is mounted in the front while the gearbox drives the rear wheels. It was unveiled on the web in 2014, after which it debuted the 2014 Geneva Motor Show. The T in the moniker stands for Turbo, something that Ferrari used on the iconic F40 supercar. The F12 Berlinetta on the other hand uses a naturally aspirated 6.3-litre V12 engine that develops a colossal 740PS and 690Nm.
