Benelli is all set to woo Indians with another fully faired affordable performance machine in the form of Tornado 300. Unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo 2016, Benelli Tornado will be available this year, here in India.
Powering the Benelli Tornado 300 is an in-line two cylinder 4-stroke 4-valve DOHC Benelli engine, producing 36 PS of peak power at 12000 rpm and 27 Nm of max torque at 9000 rpm, mated to a 6 speed gearbox. Benelli claims that the Tornado 300 will have a top speed of around 170 km/h which is certainly promising on paper.
41mm upside down forks up front, and a lateral mono-shock at the rear take care of the suspension duties. The suspension is adjustable for preload. Braking is taken care by large 260 mm floating discs with a 4 piston caliper at the front and a single 240 mm disc with a single piston caliper brake at the rear. 110/70 and 150/60 section tyres at the front and rear respectively are housed on 17-inch alloy wheels. The ride height has been kept as 790mm.
The Italian beauty looks fine and will make its way to Indian hearts easily. The full fairing with a large headlight minimalistic graphic work make it an elegant looking bike. The bike will be launched this year in India.
