Maruti Suzuki has launched a new top of the line variant of its mid-size sedan offering, the Ciaz. The new Ciaz RS, as it is called, gets a few changes on the outsides as well as the insides and is positioned as a sportier looking option to the standard car.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz RS has been offered on both the petrol (Zxi+) and diesel (Zdi+) variants, with the latter getting the company’s SHVS technologytoo. The exteriors see the standard Ciaz Z+ variants get a special spoiler pack which includes a front under spoiler, side under spoiler, a rear under body spoiler and a boot mounted spoiler. This helps the Ciaz to grip the road better at high speeds due to the added down force. The interiors see a sporty all black treatment with a grey chrome finish instrument cluster. Other features like the Smartplay infotainment system is borrowed from the standard Ciaz; safety features like ABS and 2 airbags have been now made standard across the range.

The Ciaz RShas been offered in a total of 7 colour options that include shades of red, brown, silver, white, black, grey and beige. The petrol Ciaz RS has been priced at Rs. 9.20 lakhs and the diesel Ciaz RS has been priced at Rs. 10.28 lakhs (Prices Ex-showroom, Delhi). The Ciaz diesel is powered by a 1.3-litre DDiS engine sourced from Fiat, coupled with a SHVS mild hybrid technology boasts of being the most fuel efficient car in India.
