The facelift version of the Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV has been rendered. The render is based on the design of the Colorado pick-up truck, on which the SUV is based.

The new SUV will get a new hood, front and rear bumpers, new headlights with LED daytime running lights and new tail lights. On the inside, the vehicle will get updates to the MyLink infotainment system, seat upholstery and trim. It might get a few more features as well.
The current version of the SUV comes with LED tail lights, light sensitive interior rear-view mirror, cruise control, rear-view camera, electronic climate control, projector headlights, leather upholstery, multifunction steering wheel, electrically adjustable driver’s seat and MyLink Touchscreen Infotainment System with USB, Aux-in, steering mounted audio controls and six speakers. It will get a host of safety features like surround airbags, ABS, EBD, electronic stability control, brake assist system, hill descent control, traction control, hill start assist and rear parking assist with camera.

It measures 4878 mm in length, 1902 mm in width and 1847 mm in height. The wheelbase is 2845 mm and it weighs in at 5700 kgs. Ground clearance is 253 mm.
The Trailblazer is available in only one variant. It will be powered by a 2.8 litre, four-cylinder diesel engine producing 193 bhp and 500 Nm of torque. It will be mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and power will be sent to the rear wheels. The 0-100 kmph acceleration time is 10.6 seconds. The SUV returns 10.52 kms to a litre of fuel. Later Chevrolet might launch the manual transmission and the four-wheel drive variants. The manual transmission uses a 6-speed gearbox. The Trailblazer gets a limited slip differential and it has a water wading capability of 800 mm. The SUV rides on 18-inch wheels.
The SUV will compete against the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport, Hyundai Santa Fe, Ssangyong Rexton and the upcoming Ford Endeavour and the Nissan X-Trail. Expect Chevrolet to increase localization to help price the SUV competitively.
