We’ve got Porsches, Ferraris and even Lamborghinis in India, but none of them are affordable, well relatively speaking of course. Now we have Nissan upping the ante and gunning straight for Porsche’s Cayman S. Nothing has changed except the fact that the turf now has moved from the Autobahns of Germany, from the Freeways of the United States to the National Highways of India. Yes the Nissan 370Z will storm into India sooner than you think, in January 2010 that is. Nissan will unveil the 370Z at the upcoming 2010 Indian Auto Expo.

What does the Nissan 370Z have that makes enthusiasts wait with bated breath for it? How about 332 thoroughbred horses screaming their lungs out at a hair raising 7000rpm. To help the galloping horses, 270 pound feet of torque will chip in and do their bit at 5200 rpm. All this will result in a neck sapping acceleration taking you to 100 Ks in less than 5 seconds with top speed to match. Nissan has always been the poor man’s Porsche and here is why. The Nissan 350Z will sell for under 50 lakh rupees in India and at that price, the price to performance is ratio is simply unmatchable. Even by Porsche for that matter. And we can picture a certain super car called the Porsche Cayman already sweating profusely.
