We just brought you news about the MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi having a hoot going sideways in a Ford Focus WRC. Now, it is former F1 champ Kimi Raikkonen’s turn. After winning the 2007 F1 championship in a Ferrari, Kimi Raikkonen found the going a little steep in the subsequent two seasons. The last straw was when Spaniard and former world champion Fernando Alonso bagged Kimi’s Ferrari seat for 2010. Out of F1, the flying Finn is heading to the WRC circuit to kick up some dirt there. Kimi Raikkonen is confirmed to participate in the 2010 WRC in a Citroen C4.
Assisting him in this endeavor would be Kaj Lindstrom who partnered the legendary Tommi Makinen as navigator. Incidentally, Raikkonen made his WRC debut earlier this year at home, in the Rally of Finland. All said and done, Raikkonen hasn’t ruled out a comeback to F1 if he gets a drive with a team with championship winning capability. Let’s wish the flying Finn luck for his pursuit at the WRC.
