The Maruti A-Star isn’t exactly flying out of Maruti Showrooms.
The Maruti A-Star isn’t exactly flying out of Maruti Showrooms. A big reason for this is the little boot that the A-Star comes with. Hence, Indian families haven’t really warmed up to the A-Star although the Indian youth have been impressed with the A-Star’s nimble dynamics. Now, Suzuki has previewed the redesigned 2010 Alto at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show even as the older Alto is completing it’s first anniversary.
The redesign primarily hinges on endowing the Alto with a bigger boot. This in turn makes the Alto look a little boxy when viewed from behind. Indians will find the A-Star’s rear looking like the Estilo’s if Maruti decides to bring in the 2010 Alto/A-Star to India. The family men will love this redesign while the youth will cringe at it. We hope that this change hasn’t robbed the Alto/A-Star of any of it’s nimble handling prowess. We have a strong feeling that the 2010 A-Star could be featured at the upcoming Auto Expo since Maruti manufactures all the Alto(A-Star’s) for Suzuki. Watch out for this one.
