2016 Fiat Linea 125s Sedan Showcased At The Auto Expo

Along with the launch of the Punto Pure hatchback and the Avventura Urban Cross concept, Fiat has showcased the Linea 125s.

Along with the launch of the Punto Pure hatchback and the Avventura Urban Cross concept, Fiat has showcased the Linea 125s. it is based on the Linea sedan but it now gets more power.

Speaking on the occasion, Kevin Flynn, President and Managing Director, FCA India said, “FCA is extremely thrilled to bring the Punto Pure. We are delighted to present to you the well-acclaimed sedan from FCA’s stable by adding more power to it. The Linea 125s packs a high-performance engine under its hood and promises to be a fun-to-drive car assuring impeccable ride and handling. The new Urban Cross is ruggedly stylish, feature loaded and powerful with world-class design and superb handling. The Linea 125s and the Avventura Cross will launch subsequently in 2016.”

Compared to the regular sedan, the Linea gets some cosmetic upgrades to make it look more sporty. For example, the display car got black wheels. It comes equipped with rain sensing wipers, automatic headlamps, rear parking sensors and ORVM indicators. On the inside, it gets a new touchscreen audio plus navigation system, cruise control and ambient lighting.

Powering the Linea 125s is a 1.4-litre T-jet petrol engine producing 125 PS at 5,000 rpm and 210 Nm of torque at 2,200 rpm. This makes it the most powerful petrol sedan in its segment. The sedan gets additional safety equipment like Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and dual stage driver and passenger airbags.

The powerful sedan will be launched in India later this year. It will be more expensive than the current Linea which starts from INR 7 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and goes up to INR 10.33 lakhs (ex-showroom, new Delhi).
