They complement our existing product portfolio and have a strong potential in its respective segment. We have no doubt that both these motorcycles will be well accepted by our customers and will further spur the sales momentum that we have accrued over the last year.”
The Victor was initially launched in 2002 and at that time, it was clocking 40,000 units every month. It was the first product indigenously developed by TVS Motors. The new bike has been designed with an ideal combination of styling, comfort and performance. It is powered by an 110cc Ecothrust engine that produces 9.5 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 9.4 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. It is mated to a 4-speed constant mesh transmission. The bike returns 76 kms to a litre of fuel under standard TVS test conditions.
The telescopic oil damped front suspension and 5-step adjustable hydraulic series spring suspension at the rear ensure optimal ride comfort and handling. The bike also gets a 55-watt headlamp which is the brightest in its segment. It rides on 19-inch wheels with tubeless tyres on them. The Victor also gets a new instrument cluster.
The bike is available in six colours (Red, Black Red, Black Silver, Grey, Silver and Blue) and two variants depending on the brakes: Drum and Disc. The bike equipped with drum brakes has been priced at INR 49,490 (ex-showroom, New Delhi) while the bike equipped with Disc brakes costs INR 51,490.
