BMW launched the all new X1 and the next generation 7-Series in India. The X1 has been priced from a attractive Rs. 29.90 lakhs and goes up to Rs. 39.90 lakhs, while the all new 7-Series will retail at Rs. 1.11 crore which goes up to Rs. 1.55 crore (All prices Ex-showroom, Delhi).

The 2016 BMW X1 was launched globally last year and the company has left no time wasted to bring it to India. This is one of the best selling models for BMW worldwide and this time around is based on an all new platform which sadly makes it front wheel drive. Nonetheless, the X1 for the first time will be offered with a 4-wheel drive system. It is powered by the same 2.0-litre diesel motor from the 3-Series sedan and is mated to a 8-speed automatic transmission. The all-new BMW X1 is available in three exclusive trim levels – Expedition, xLine and M Sport.

The BMW 7-Series on the other hand is the company’s flagship sedan and can be called a rolling temple of technology. The car comes with many segment first features like Gesture Control, Remote Control Parking, BMW Display Key, BMW Touch Command System, Wireless Charging and Sky Lounge. It has been launched with two engine options – a 3.0-litre in-line 6-cylinder diesel engine that develops 261BHP and a 4.4-litre V8 petrol that develops 443BHP. Both are mated to a 8-speed gearbox and promise great fuel efficiency. The diesel in 730Ld guise will be locally manufactured while the petrol in 750Li guise will be imported into India as a CBU.
