Maruti Suzuki Ignis spied in India
Suzuki Ignis, the model based on the Suzuki iM-4 concept that was first seen at the Geneva Motor Show last year.
The Indian version will be powered by a 1.2-litre K-series engine and 1.3-litre with SVHS, which can be brought in to get more juice out of the engine. or 1.0 -litre BoosterJet engine cannot be ruled out at a later stage. The sub-compact SUV will measure 3,700 mm in length, 1,660 mm in width, 1,595 mm in height, 2435 mm in wheelbase and have 180 mm of ground clearance.
Interior gets premium with a touchscreen infotainment display and Apple Car Play connectivity in the highr trims
The car has a boxy design with a smallish bumper, daytime running lights integrated into the headlight. Suzuki says that ‘a high eye point and plenty of road clearance ensure day-to-day convenience. The Maruti logo sits on a mesh grille with a single chrome slat. It comes with blacked out A and B pillars, turn indicators on ORVM’s, a rear spoiler, flared wheel arches. On the interior, it gets a dual tone finish with touchscreen infotainment system integrated into the dashboard with Apple Car Play connectivity.
The new Maruti Suzuki Ignis will be sold through the NEXA rangeof outlets, giving the customers a premium buying experience when launched. The main competition will be Mahindra KUV100which was recently launched.
