The all new next generation Skoda Superb will be launched in India on the 23rd of February 2016. The car will be available with 2 engine options and will take on the likes of the Toyota Camry.
The Skoda Superb has been around for quite some time and is finally going to get a worthy successor in India. The next generation model was launched globally last year and is all set to make its entry in the Indian market in a couple of weeks time. The car now looks much more proportionate and edgier than before while looking a typical Skoda model. The front gets new headlamps with the now familiar looking butterfly grille and a long chiseled bonnet. The sides look very proportionate as mentioned earlier and hides the length of the car which has increased over it predecessor. The rear has sharp looking all LED taillights and a sculpted bumper.
The 2016 Skoda Superb will be offered with 2 engine options – a 1.8-litre TSI petrol that develops 180PS of power and 250Nm of torque and a 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine that churns out 145PS of max power and 400Nm of torque. The petrol is mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox while the diesel gets a 6-speed DSG automatic. On the insides the car will get all the luxury features associated with a car of this class. The range topping L&K variant will get heated seats, power-adjustable front seat with memory and lumbar support, triple-zone climate control, 8-inch Smartlink infotainment system and a CANTON audio system. It will also get 18-inch alloy wheels and adaptive dampers with 3 driving modes.
The 2016 Skoda Superb is all set to create another benchmark in this segment and will be launched between Rs. 24 lakhs and Rs. 30 lakhs. For this money, the Superb will offer the luxury and comfort that is expected from a Mercedes-Benz E-Class or a BMW 5-Series. The next generation Skoda Superb could be just the ultimate luxury car you have been waiting for on a budget.
