Scooty Zest lured female and cost conscious buyers, while fun loving customers – who are willing to pay little extra money, chose the Wego. Third scooter is Jupiter, which struck the perfect balance and delivered more scooter per rupee. Subtle design language and adequate features on offer helped this scooter to get established as a mature alternative in the entry level 110 cc scooter segment. Jupiter brought the much needed spark back into the sales chart of company. Now according to TVS, Jupiter has clocked milestone sales figure of 5 lakh units within 18 months since its launch in September 2013, which itself is a record stint in its segment.

From the day one, Jupiter was placed as Honda Activa rival and its target audience has always been daily commuters and people who want the no-nonsense mode of travelling. This scooter offered some extra bits on almost every front, which oriented buyers to make their decision in its favor. Attractive matte colors shades and 3D branding topped up the simple and subtle style, lightweight all aluminum engine provided the brisk power with a punch and TVS’ trademark features added the extra convenience in ownership experience.

Jupiter is powered by next gen 110 cc CVT-i engine which produces 8.2 PS of power. Its light weight and low friction components help in achieving the claimed fuel efficiency figure of 62 kmpl. The scooter retails at a competitive price tag of INR 47, 339 in Delhi showrooms. Jupiter is available in six different shades. Also there is an option of Special Edition Jupiter which comes in altogether different color combination. It will be interesting to see, to maintain this momentum of sales figure, how company reacts when the competition has already moved an inch further by upgrading their products.
