Triumph showcased the 2016 T120 at this year’s Delhi Auto Expo. Priced at a whopping INR 8,70,000, the all new Bonneville model sits atop the Street Twin. The British car maker also unveiled the Thruxton R which will be launched later this year.

2016 Triumph Bonneville T120 has been priced at a whopping INR 8.7 lakhs

The Bonneville T120 produces a massive peak torque figure of 105 Nm at a low 3100 rpm which is more than 54% higher than the previous generation T100. The 1200cc engine on the Thruxton R is the real deal with torque figures of 112Nm at 4950 rpm at an amazing 62% higher than the previous generation Thruxton thanks to the new 8-valve engine.

Triumph’s Bonneville series has produced some of the most iconic models in two wheeler history.

Triumph will also release ‘inspiration’ kits to use as the starting point for riders to create their own Bonneville custom, or to have fitted by their Triumph dealer as a complete set, from Scramblers  to Track racers and Cafe racers. This includes, for the first time, a full factory Thruxton R Race Performance kit, specifically developed for closed circuit competition.

Although the Triumph Thruxton R failed to make an appearance at the Delhi Auto Expo, the British car maker has announced its launch for the Indian market.

Vimal Sumbly, managing director, Triumph Motorcycles India, said: “Our classics already enjoy a huge fan following here in India with people from all walks of life enjoying these iconic motorcycles. Modern classics are becoming more and more popular since people today are looking for character, style and fun. For us here in India, this is the perfect timing since this market is fast expanding. We’re extremely excited about the three new Bonnevilles unveiled today. The models selected for India are a result of the feedback we received directly from our customers and are very sure of their success within the India market.’
