Auto Expo 2016: Hero Splendor iSmart 110 launched along with Duet-E and XF3R

Hero Moto Corp has unveiled the soon to be launched Hero Splendor iSmart 110 at the Delhi Auto Expo 2016.

The Splendor iSmart 110 is the first new motorcycle developed completely in-house. It  features a new 110cc, single-cylinder, TOD (torque-on-demand) engine which too has been developed by Hero’s in-house engineering team.

Hero Splendor iSmart 110 is powered by an air-cooled, single cylinder, 4-stroke 110cc engine and peak power output of 9.1 PS at 7500 rpm and maximum torque of 9 Nm at 5500 rpm with the engine being mated to a four-speed gearbox.

The company press release says, “the crisp, clean and contemporary look of the new bike, along with enhanced performance will be a surefire success with customers and take forward the legacy of the largest-selling motorcycle in the world”.

The company also unveiled Duet-E,  an electric scooter, aimed at providing a comfortable, convenient, and environmentally-friendly commuting option. The scooter has been based on the current production series scooter, the Duet, to make it cost effective.

Hero also displayed the XF3R concept which will be an out right performance machine and is based on the concept of ‘Born to be Wild’. The street fighter features USD suspension, single-sided swingarm, trellis frame and an upswept exhaust which levels out at the pillion seat.
