BMW India has launched the updated 3-Series in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs.
BMW India has launched the updated 3-Series in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs. 35.90 lakhs Ex-showroom pan India. The car will be locally produced in the country at the company’s Chennai plant.
The current generation BMW 3-Series was launched in India in 2012 and since then has not received any updates in India. Newer competition meant that BMW India had to quickly react to the pertaining situation. The facelifted 3-Series was launched globally last year and the update has finally landed in India. The 2016 BMW 3-Series has been launched in a total of 4 variants and a single diesel engine option. The front gets all new full LED headlights and fog lights with new detailing for the LED DRLs. The rear too gets full LED taillights. The Sport Line variant gets a all black interior with red accents while the Luxury Line model gets splashes of chrome on the dashboard. The M Sport variant gets an M leather steering wheel, front sports seats and an additional Sport+ mode. Also it will be the only variant to get the exclusive Estoril Blue metallic paint shade.

The new BMW 3-Series gets a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder all-Aluminium engine that develops 188BHP of power and 400Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a slick 8-speed automatic gearbox that helps it breach the 100Km/hr mark in just 7.2 seconds. The car also gets features like Auto Start-Stop, Eco Pro mode, Brake-Energy Regeneration, Intelligent Lightweight Construction, Electronic Power Steering, 50:50 Weight Distribution and many other innovative technologies.
