Tata Motors has gone ahead and appointed football legend, Lionel Messi as its new Global Brand Ambassador. This is the first time Tata Motorsis being associated for a campaign with a brand ambassador.

Tata Motors has signed the ace footballer in a long term partnership to promote and endorse its passenger vehicles globally. The company will first roll-out the association campaign, ‘Made of Great’, starring Lionel Messiwith other similar campaigns to follow suit. The campaign is based on consumer insight and rides on a strong consumer motivation of ‘Seeking Excellence’ and ‘Self Belief’ which is epitomized by the confluence of two global brands, Tata Motors and Lionel Messi. The company is also planning to roll out a limited edition range of merchandise of his association. Tata Motors’ association with the iconic footballer holds immense importance as this will help the company to position itself as a no-nonsense Global brand and will definitely make competitors sit up and take notice.
