Honda Brio Gets A Facelift

The facelifted Honda Brio hatchback has been unveiled in Indonesia.

The updated car gets a new front end with a new bumper and a new grille. The car looks a lot like the Mobilio MPVnow. The rear remains almost the same with a new tail lamp design. The hatchback now rides on 14-inch wheels which come as standard.

The interior also gets updates which puts it in tune with the Amaze faceliftand the Mobilio facelift. The centre console is very similar to the one found on the Honda City. The RS trim sees the addition of power-folding wing mirrors with LED turn signals, side skirts and projector headlamps with LED guide lights just like what you get on the Mobilio RS. The sporty looking hatchback now rides on 15-inch dual tone wheels.

Mechanically, there will be only one change to the Honda Brio hatchback. It will continue to be powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 87 bhp and 109 Nm of torque. The 5-speed manual transmission will continue to be offered while the 5-speed automatic transmission will be replaced by a CVT transmission. The car returns 18.9 kms to a litre of fuel.

The current Honda Brio starts at INR 4.38 lakhs (ex-showroom, new Delhi) and goes up to INR 6.97 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). It competes with the Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Tata Tiago and the Hyundai Grand i10.
