The cars get an upgraded powertrain with more power to improve their performance
Powering the new Polestar vehicles are the same 2.0-litre, four cylinder Drive-E engines but they now get a bigger turbo, a supercharger and some more upgrades. The power output has gone up to 367 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 470 Nm of torque between 3,100 and 5,100 rpm. The engine is mated to an 8-speed Geartronic automatic gearbox and power is sent to all four wheels. Polestar has also worked on reducing the weight of these cars. The S60 Polestar accelerates from a standstill to a 100 kmph in 4.7 seconds while the V60 Polestar does the same sprint in 4.8 seconds. Both the car have an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph. The S60 returns 12.82 kms to a litre of fuel while V60 returns 12.34 kms.
The cars ride on new 20-inch wheels and stopping power is provided by new brakes. The other equipments included are sports seats and an optional sunroof.

Volvo Polestar has announced that they will be expanding from 13 markets to 47 and production will double from the current 750 units annually to 1500 units. The Volvo S60 Polestar will be coming to India later this year.
