While the Maruti Suzuki Swift is ageing gracefully, Suzuki wants to keep the Swift platform fresh and updated. The folks at Evo have just managed to spot a heavily disguised Swift undergoing extreme cold weather testing at the Artic circle. While the external shape remains the same, the 2010 Swift looks a wee bit bigger. This, however could be illusory due to the fact that the Swift was in heavy disguise. The headlamps and the tail-lamps get a lens makeover.

We can’t speculate on the interiors though we anticipate some radical detailing to bring it up to date with current times. What we’re really hoping to see in the 2010 Swift’s bonnet is a nice 1.6 liter Fiat derived Multijet oil burner pushing out 120 eager horses. C’mon Maruti, the sweet handling Swift needs just that bit of extra oomph to make it an ultimate hot hatch that remains an affordable proposition to the masses. Here’s hoping that Maruti launches the updated Swift sometime in all 2010.
