Tata Tiago launched in both – petrol and diesel variants. Claims segment leading fuel efficiency figures: 23.84 kmpl for petrol and 27.28 kmpl for diesel.
The latest offering from Tata Motorscomes with a petrol as well as diesel mill. The Revotron (Petrol) is powered by a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder motor producing 85 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 114 Nm at 3500 rpm. The diesel motor is a 1.05-litre 3 pot motor generating 70 PS @ 4,000 rpm and 140 Nm @ 1,800 – 3,000 rpm. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.

The interiors are the best ever offered by Tata and the finish levels are better than ever. The hatchback comes equipped with an HARMAN infotainment system which includes smartphone connectivity and it can stream music wirelessly. MapMyIndia offers a unique GPS system that does not use internet data from your smartphone. The car is offered with ABS and dual airbags on the top variants and comes with a dual path semi-independent suspension setup at the rear. EBD, Corner Stability Control (CSC) are also on offer on the upper trims.

Tata Tiagomeasures 3746 mm in length, 1674 mm in width and 1535 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2400 mm with a ground clearance of 170 mm. Tiago weighs just over a ton at 1012 Kg for petrol variant and 1080 Kg for diesel version. It has a total boot space of 242 liters.
The car will compete with the likes of Maruti Suzuki Celerio, Maruti Suzuki WagonR, Honda Brio and the Hyundai Grand i10.
