The ongoing New York Auto Show is in full swing after the media days wee over. We have seen it from the outside and list the best cars coming out of Big Apple.

Genesis New York Concept

Genesis made everyone sit up and take notice of its New York concept which will be positioned in the executive sedan segment, challenging the likes of  BMW 3-series, Audi A4 and Mercedes C-Class. The New York conceptis powered by  is a 2.0-liter hybrid setup with a total output of 242 horsepower and 352 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed transmission.

The car is gorgeous to look at with all those proportions that it had to make the top 5 on the list. Though in concept form, it is expected to carry over almost everything to the production version at least on the exterior. The interiors might see a bit of change.

Nissan GT-R

Nissan was not expected to show a facelift of the ‘Godzilla’ especially since the next generation is due in couple of years time. However, the Japanese folks surprised us with this update, making it faster and more attractive than ever. This GT-Rnow makes 565 HP at 6800 rpm and 633 Nm of torque from the 3.8-liter V6 24-valve twin-turbocharged engine. The front has been tweaked thoroughly as well as the interior is seen adding elegance to the look with a lot fewer buttons to operate.

Hyundai Ioniq

The Koreans are fast catching up with their Japanese counterparts in the hybrid vehicle space and these with no less than three options to choose from are certainly amongst the best looking environment-friendly cars out there!!

NSX GT3

Not everyone can afford to own a track focused car or take it to a track often, but hey, it does not make the Honda NSX GT3any less a special car. Gone is the hybrid supercar tag as the company chooses to kick the electric motors to save precious kgs, making it FIA GT3 standards. The GT3 houses 3.5-litre twin turbo seen on the NSX driving the rear wheels through a six-speed sequential gearbox.

Mazda Miata RX-5 RF

This one was a hotly discussed car on the internet as well as the floor. The fourth generation Miata made all the right noises for being a slightly bulky looking hard top convertible where RF stands for ‘Retractable Fastback’. The affordable roadster will be available in 1.5 litre and 2.0-litre configurations.
