It looks like Mahindra is bringing out a special edition of the Scorpio, which can be seen in these spy shots.
The body panels on the test car seen here have been covered but you can still see some of the changes. A small part of the body graphics is visible. Along with that, we also find black alloy wheels, red brake calipers, silver coloured door handles, silver cladding on the lower body and chrome finished roof rails. On the inside, it is expected to get new branded seat upholstery and floor mats.
The spy pics show all the changes that are expected in the limited edition Mahindra Scorpio
The Mahindra Scorpio is powered by a 2.2-litre mHawk turbocharged diesel engine producing 120 bhp and 280 Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a 6-speed manual or an automatic transmission and power is sent to the rear wheels. AWD option is also available with both transmissions. It returns 15.4 kms to a litre of fuel. The third generation of the SUV was launched in September last year.
It comes equipped with features like 2 airbags, front and rear power windows, automatic climate control, a 6-inch touchscreen infotainment system with GPS navigation and tyre pressure and temperature monitoring system.
There has been a half-hearted attempt to cover up the changes
The Mahindra Scorpio starts at INR 8.97 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and goes up to INR 14.47 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). It competes with the Renault Duster, Nissan Terrano, Tata Safari Storme, Hyundai Creta and the Mahindra TUV 300.
