Ssangyong SIV-2 is a largish SUV sitting a step above the existing Tivoli which will be launch in India this year. The SIV-2 is a concept crossover the company is calling a “mild hybrid.” It is expected to be powered by a 1.5-liter direct injection turbocharged engine combined with a 10kW electric motor-generator and a 500Wh lithium-ion battery; thus, the mild hybrid description. Ssangyong has not stated about any plans of making it a production. The SIV-2 may come with 5 seat standard configuration which could also be ordered in a 7-seater configuration. The Korean carmaker has hinted at an all-electric version of the car as well. It might hit the production line in 2018.

The other concept teased is the Tivoli XLV. It is a larger Tivoli with a place to seat seven people and a larger boot space. Tivoli XLV will carry the same engine as seen on the existing model. The petrol motor is a 1.6-litre mill producing 124 bhp and 157 Nm of torque while the diesel motor makes 113 bhp and 300 Nm of torque from a 1.6- litre oil burner. The engines will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic transmission. It will come with front-wheel drive as standard though a four-wheel-drive system will be optional. The Ssangyong Tivoli will debut in India later this year, competing with the likes of Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV 300.
