A hardcore version of the Pagani Huayra will be launched at the Geneva Motor Show in March. It is expected to be called the Pagani Huayra BC. Spy pictures and videos show aerodynamic upgrades including a new front splitter, a huge rear wing and rear diffuser.
Pagani released a teaser on Instagram sometime back
Earlier, Horacio Pagani had confirmed that a more potent Huayra would be built. He said that it would be based on the coupe and will be offered only to existing Huayra customers. Only 20 units of the more potent car would be built and it will not take the form of a track only car like the Zonda R. It would be powered by the same 6.0-litre AMG V12 that is found on the Huayra. Power output would be boosted to around 750 hp.
Pagani Huayra
Launched at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, the Huayrasucceeded the famous Zonda. The name means “God of the winds” in Quechua, which is the official language of the Inca empire. It is powered by a 6.0 litre Mercedes-AMG M158 V12 twin-Turbo producing 730 hp and 1000 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed sequential gearbox and power is sent to the rear wheels. The car accelerates from a standstill to a 100 kmph in 3.3 seconds and it goes on to a top speed of 362 kmph. The car was one of the first to use active aerodynamics. It has four flaps on all four corners. The result is one of the fastest cars on a race track. It set the fastest lap at the Top Gear test track. Its time was 1:13.8. It still holds that record. The mid-engined car won the “The Hypercar of the Year 2012″ by Top Gear magazine. The expensive vehicle was limited to just 100 units due to an agreement with engine suppliers Mercedes-AMG. It was sold out earlier this year.
A more hardcore version of this hypercar should be very interesting.
