The all new Mercedes-AMG GLC43 made noise at the New York Auto Show.
The AMG line up will have a staggering 48 options to choose by the end of the year
The GLC Coupe will come in two variants. A two-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with 241 horsepower and 370 Newton metre of torque will be called GLC300 while the more powerful version will be the Mercedes-AMG GLC43 with a 3.0-litre bi-turbo V6 rated at 362 hp and 520 Nm of torque. The company claims it will breach 100 kmph mark in under 5 seconds. It is essentially a stretched out GLC with the curvy roofline, making it a direct competitor to the MW X4.
The economical variant comes with standard off-roading suspension, 4Matic four-wheel drive, a nine-speed automatic transmission with Dynamic Select, a sunroof, and a 7.0-inch color display.

“2016 is our year of the dream cars, and New York is the perfect place to talk about them,” says Ola Källenius, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG, responsible for Mercedes-Benz Cars Marketing & Sales. “This is where we presented one of the most desirable automobiles ever in 1954 – the 300 SL gullwing. Today, it’s our aspiration to offer dream cars for every taste in our portfolio. Mercedes-Benz stands for modern luxury in unparalleled diversity.”

Adding to it he said, “The new GLC Coupé is not a car for people who want what everybody wants,” says Källenius. “It’s the right car for people who rejoice in their individuality and want to tread new paths. Yet, with the biggest luggage space in its class, the GLC Coupé also boasts plenty of practical strengths.”
The cars will go on sale early next year in the American market so we should expect them to be launched in India by late 2017.
