The 4-door version of the Mahindra Reva electric car has been spotted testing on the Bangalore – Hosur highway.
Adding two more doors to the electric car should make it more spacious and more practical
Earlier, it was reported that Mahindra would be launching the 4-door Reva for the European market. the car would be exported from India. But Mahindra could allocate a few units for sale in the Indian market also. The electric hatchback is likely to be launched by mid-2016.
Mahindra is struggling to sell the electric car as it is too small and too expensive for what it does. A 4-door version should help the Reva by making it more practical. The hatchback had heavy camouflage but the car appears to be longer than its 2-door counterpart and it seems to get new vertical tail lights. The proportions of the car and the instrument cluster seem to be shared with the old car. The powertrain of the vehicle is also expected to remain the same.
