JD Power Sales Satisfaction Index 2014
Toyota’s top score can be attributed to faster deliveries, faster paperwork, good sales staff, hassle free buying experience and availability of discounts. JD Power states that satisfied customers are more likely to recommend the car brands and dealers to their friends and relatives. Also, satisfied customer are more likely to make another purchase from the same brand. So, dealers and car makers need to focus on improving sales satisfaction to retain and attract customers.
On the bottom of the sales satisfaction index are Fiat, Chevrolet, Ford and Volkswagen. Fiat and Chevrolet have scored 833 points while Ford and Volkswagen have scored 839 and 844 respectively. Fiat, Chevrolet and Volkswagen are doing badly in India when it comes to sales. Though Ford is doing well due to the Ecosport’s success, many customers are not happy with the way that the company has handled the Ecosport bookings and deliveries. This maybe a main reason for Ford finishing in the bottom of JD Power’s sales satisfaction index.
