TVR announces new Welsh production facility
Factory in the Ebbw Vale Enterprise Zone will get funding from the Welsh Government
The good news from TVR continues!

continues! The latest announcement is on a production facility; no, it won't be in Blackpool, but instead in the Ebbw Vale Enterprise Zone in South Wales. Moreover, the Welsh Government will invest in TVR. The official line is that the project "represents over £30 million of capital expenditure over the next five years."

The factory deal was signed last week, with a specific location in South Wales to be decided on soon. The Welsh First Minister, Rt. Hon. Carwyn Jones, said of the arrangement: "This is yet another fantastic high profile investment for Wales and a great boost for our automotive sector." It remains to be seen whether a 'Made in Wales' plaque will make it to the production cars...

Les Edgar added: "We have a sports car project that has garnered global approval and excitement, and we are delighted that the Welsh government wish to become a part of an exciting new era for TVR." The news followsrecently of a factory in the same area, so it's an exciting time for both the area and British sports cars.

Already more than 350 deposits have been taken for the new TVR, which still has a 2017 launch date scheduled. We'll bring you more as soon we have it!
