Every time we think Lamborghini could not get any more aggressive with its styling, comes another eccentric design which is bonkers and a better performing Lamborghini .
. Lamborghini Centenario is one such limited edition run which has been developed to celebrate the 100th birthday of Ferruccio Lamborghini, the founder of this Italian supercar manufacturer.
We ought to confess that it did not look appealing when the patent images were leaked, but this one is a might aggressive Lamborghini, a rung below the absolutely mental Veneno. Only 40 of these will be made, 20 roadsters and 20 coupes, all of which have already been sold with each commanding a base price of 1.75 million euros plus tax.
Talking about the engine, it is essentially a highly tuned Aventadorengine under the hood. It uses a naturally aspirated V12 which produces 770 hp and powers from 0-100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, and from 0-300 km/h in 23.5 seconds with a top speed of more than 350 km/h, becoming the most powerful Lamborghini to be ever built. It has a weight to power ratio of just 1.97 kg/hp. Transmission is via Lamborghini’s Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) gearbox, providing a lightweight and emotive solution to achieving the fastest gearshifts possible. The Centenario is fitted with Lamborghini’s magnetorheological suspension and Lamborghini Dynamic Steering (LDS), tuned for the Centenario’s rear wheel steering.
