Ford GT configurator live!

Well obviously we had to spec a couple of possibilities... How would yours look?

You don't need us to tell you there's a great deal of excitement around the. Not only does it have a fabled predecessor to live up to, there's also the promise of 600hp and theproject too. And it looks absolutely magnificent.

The Knightsbridge pose

Now the GT is another step closer to the road with the launch of. There aren't any prices, even on the US site, but it's a fun way to pass the time and an interesting look into the decisions that will face GT customers. The main one appearing to just be if there's a colour the GT doesn't look fantastic in.

Our favourite specs in the PH office are painted Triple Yellow, Liquid Red and Frozen White, with stripes in black for the yellow, white on the red and Competition Orange adorning the white car. Look cool, don't they? But it's not our innate sense of style (ahem) that makes these look so good, as in any one of the eight exterior colours the GT is an absolute stunner. On top of the above, there's also Shadow Black, Ingot Silver, Liquid Grey, Liquid Blue and Matte Black. And if you don't like stripes, they're not obligatory.

Watch out Ferrari?

The side skirts, front and rear bumpers are available in black plus matte or gloss carbon. The wheels are all 20-inch, either carbon (presumably using the technology seen on the) or forged aluminium. The brake calipers are offered in five colours.

Now while we're used to an array of colours and trims being offered inside a car, it's unusual to find them described in the terms used by Ford. There are four themes to select from: Dark Energy, Launch Control, Light Speed and Re-Entry. Yes, really. Far be it from us to spoil the surprise of what they actually look like...

But what seems to be apparent from a brief investigation is that all the Ford GTs will look sensational. In fact, is it possible to spec an ugly one? Over to you!
