Two units of the Mercedes-Benz CLA have been imported into the country for homologation

The car now gets a diamond radiator grille in black as standard, a new front bumper with a trim strip and a rear bumper with an optional trim strip. 5 different choices are available for the alloy wheel design, including one new 5-twin-spoke AMG design and this is available in a black paint finish or titanium grey paint finish. The optional equipment includes LED High-Performance Headlamps and tail lights with automatic intensity control. The Mercedes-Benz CLA can now be finished in a new paint shade called cavansite blue metallic.

On the inside, the car gets new seat covers and trims and the COMAND screen is a slimmer free-standing 8-inch unit. The instrument cluster gets new dials with red needles. All the control buttons and switches are finished in silver chrome. New trim elements and new seat covers are available for the interior. ARTICO leather is available as an option for the seats.

This means that the car could be launched soon

The updated Mercedes-Benz CLA comes with HANDS-FREE ACCESS, which opens the boot lid electrically. It is a part of the KEYLESS-GO Comfort package. Smartphone integration is available as an option and it can connect Android and Apple devices. Ambient lighting is available and you have a choice of 12 different colours. The safety systems include the latest in autonomous safety systems like Active Brake Assist (also known as COLLISION PREVENTION ASSIST PLUS).

The Mercedes-Benz CLA 200d diesel is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine producing 136 bhp between 3,200 rpm and 4,000 rpm and 300 Nm of torque between 1,400 rpm and 3,000 rpm. Since the German company has imported the car for homologation, we feel that a launch could happen soon. The current car starts at INR 31.50 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and goes up to INR 35.90 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). It competes with the Audi A3. The car could be followed by the CLA 45 AMG, which also received an update.
