Here’s The 2017 Subaru Impreza Sedan [New Images]

Revealed in sedan form on the eve of the New York Auto Show where it will be joined by the five-door hatchback, the 2017 Impreza incorporates the lines of the study , but in the dreary way that we’ve come to expect from production Subaru models.

Few (should) be surprised to see that Subaru’s production 2017 Impreza doesn’t look anywhere near as impressive as last year’s Impreza Concept.

, but in the dreary way that we’ve come to expect from production Subaru models. Nevertheless, it does look a bit more playful and youthful than the current car.

The interior doesn’t actually seem all that different from the outgoing model, with Subaru tidying up and modernizing the center console that houses two screens for the navigation and infotainment systems, with a third display positioned between the instrument panel gauges.

The 2017 Impreza is the firstproduction model from Subaru to sit on the automaker’s newly developed Global Platformthat will form the base for most of their next-generation models. It’s larger than the car it replaces, with the wheelbase extended by 25mm (1 in.), the overall length by 41mm (1.6 in.) and the width by 38mm (1.5 in.), though its height has been reduced by 10mm (0.4 in.).

We know that Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive will come as standard, but we’re in the dark for now on what engines will drive the new Impreza.
