UM will start with 25 dealerships in Amritsar, Chandigarh, Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Lucknow, Guwahati, Imphal, Aizawl, Ahmedabad, Surat, Nashik, Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Vijaywada, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai and Kochi.
UM Motorcycles have announced their initial list of dealerships across the country. The American company entered Indiawith the at the Auto Expo in Delhi last month.

UM will start with 25 dealerships in Amritsar, Chandigarh, Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Lucknow, Guwahati, Imphal, Aizawl, Ahmedabad, Surat, Nashik, Mumbai, Thane, Pune, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Vijaywada, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai and Kochi. The list was released through a picture posted on the company’s Facebook page.
The powertrain for the three bikes is the same. The engine is a 279cc single cylinder engine water cooled engine which develops 25 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 21.8 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission.

While the Renegade Commando costs INR 1.59 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi), the Renegade Sport S and the Renegade Classic cost INR 1.49 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and 1.69 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi) respectively. The bikes compete against some Royal Enfield bikes.
The bikes will be built at the company’s manufacturing facility in Kashipur, Uttarakhand and will be exported from there. The manufacturing facility was set up as part of a joint venturebetween UM International and Lohia Auto. For now, UM Motorcycles is not considering launching sports bikes in India as the market is saturated and instead will concentrate only on cruisers. Deliveries of the first 1000 bikes will begin in May this year. Bookings for the bikes began during the Auto Expo.
