Kia's all-new Sportagecompact crossover has been named a Top Safety Pick Plus by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
In order to achieved the IIHS' highest TSP+ rating vehicle must earn the institute's highest rating of "good" in five crashworthiness tests -- small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side impact, roof strength and head restraints. In order to snag the Plus rating, a vehicle must score "advanced" or "superior" in the IIHS' newest front crash prevention test.

The Kia Sportageis all-new for the 2017 model year, representing the four-generation of the small crossover. The Sportage carries a base price of $22,990.
